Draft for review. This page describes how Meldiq works today, but it hasn't been reviewed by a lawyer yet and isn't legal advice. Highlighted details are still to be confirmed.
These terms are an agreement between you and GRIIPBUDDY LLC (“Meldiq”, “we”), registered at [To be confirmed: GRIIPBUDDY LLC's registered address (USA)], for using Meldiq's apps, website and services (“Meldiq”). By creating an account or using Meldiq you agree to them.
Your account
You need an account to use Meldiq. You must be at least [To be confirmed: minimum age for an account] and give a working email address. One account works on every Meldiq app and on this website.
You're responsible for keeping your password, passkeys, recovery codes and recovery key safe. Your messages are encrypted with keys on your devices: if you lose every device and your recovery key, we can't recover your encrypted history for you.
Your content
What you send stays yours. You give Meldiq only the permission it needs to store, relay and deliver it to the people you send it to. You're responsible for what you share and must have the right to share it.
Acceptable use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. Community owners and moderators can set their own rules and remove people from their communities. We may limit or suspend accounts that break these terms or the law, and we will tell you why where the law and safety allow.
Free tier and Meldiq Plus
Meldiq has a free tier. Meldiq Plus is an optional subscription, described, with its price and renewal terms, before you pay. Buying, renewing, cancelling and refunds are covered by the subscription terms, which are part of these terms. Payments for new website subscriptions are processed by PayPal.
Changes and availability
We keep improving Meldiq, so features can change. We work to keep it running and secure, but to the extent the law allows we provide it “as is”, without promising it will always be available or error-free. Its encryption hasn't had an independent security audit yet.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, or your rights as a consumer. Beyond that, our liability is limited as set out by [To be confirmed: governing law and courts].
Ending your use
You can stop using Meldiq and delete your account at any time. Cancel a renewing subscription first. We may end these terms if you seriously or repeatedly break them.
Changes and contact
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you before the change applies. These terms are governed by [To be confirmed: governing law and courts].
Questions: [To be confirmed: support email address].
